I graduated from Livingston High School in May of 1994. After attending college for two years, I decided to try out many other ventures. I have worked in many fields including gymnastics, law offices, retail shops, and owning my own small business. After exploring the work force I decided to finish my education and was now certain I wanted to be an elementary school teacher. I attended Sam Houston State University and graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2004.
I began teaching at Timber Creek Elementary School in 2004. I have taught 2nd grade for the past twelve years. I am currently teaching Reading/Language Arts. My entire teaching career has been with L.I.S.D. and I can’t imagine teaching anywhere else.
My husband Howard and I were married in August of 1997. We have 4 children all of which we are grateful to call our own. Three of our children attend Livingston Independent School District and one graduated from Livingston High School in 2017. Along with my love for children comes my love for family. We have one dog named Yetti, three Koi fish, and a pot belly pig named Elssa. My family attends First Baptist Church of Livingston. I am also an independent Scentsy Consultant and Clever Container Sales Representative. My favorite saying is “it is okay to not know, but it’s not okay to not try!”
I am a proud graduate of Livingston High School and honored teacher of L.I.S.D.! I have taught 2nd Grade at Timber Creek Elementary for the past thirteen years. Teaching is one of the hardest jobs I've ever had, yet the most rewarding! I couldn't imagine my life without teaching children! I have a passion for helping others and am proud to say I'm a teacher in Livingston I.S.D. My husband and I have five children and enjoy baseball, football, basketball, and hunting/fishing. I am also a Scentsy consultant and Sales Representative for Clever Container and enjoy spending my free time doing anything related to these companies. I also enjoy crafts, scrapbooking, and shopping!
