I graduated from Hargrave High School in Huffman, Texas in 1993. I graduated college from the University of Houston in 2000.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Bachelor of Arts Degree. I am certified to teach first through eighth grade. I am also certified to teach Gifted and Talented classes.
I started teaching in Livingston at Timber Creek Elementary in 2010. After 6 years I am still at Timber Creek Elementary currently teaching 2nd grade Math and Science.
This is my 17th year to teach both 2nd and 1st grade. Prior to working for LISD I taught for several different school districts. I started the first 5 years of my teaching career in Kingwood. I then moved and taught for 5 years in Cy-Fair ISD. The year before I started teaching in Livingston I taught in Onalaska.
I have three children. My oldest son Liam is 12 years old and attends LJH. My only daughter Sloane is 10 years old and attends LIS. My youngest child Koda is 22 months old and stays at home with his personal nurse that cares for him during the day. Koda is a special needs child that has had to face several heart surgeries along with other health issues in his short little life. We are all proud owners of a dog, cat, and 4 leopard geckos.
I am a profound animal lover. I guess you could say learning facts about animals is my hobby. I love to be outside observing nature. A long walk in the woods with the rest of the day fishing would be a perfect day in my world.
